
Photo Editing 101 with Adobe Photoshop (3-Part Series)
At some point, you’ve wanted or needed to edit a photo. Adobe Photoshop is a photo editing software with endless possibilities! In this workshop series, you’ll get acclimated to the software, learn basic tools and functions, and apply photo editing and design tips and tricks to create your own custom composition.
Session 1: Get familiar with practical photo editing usage and the Photoshop interface
Saturday, June 5th | 1pm – 3pm
In this class you’ll learn:
- Practical photo editing usage and principles
- What Photoshop is and how to navigate within the software
- An overview of basic tools and functionality
- Understand photo size, resolution, file type, and more
Session 2: Discover tools and helpful editing skills
Saturday, June 12th | 1pm – 3pm
In this class you will learn:
- Transforming, cropping, and adjusting photos
- Basic retouching techniques
- How to cut the background out of an image
Session 3: Create a custom poster using Photoshop techniques
Saturday, June 19th | 1pm – 3pm
In this class you’ll learn:
- How to work with layers
- How to apply filters for artistic effects
- How to combine photos, shapes, and type to create a custom design

Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge using a computer and Zoom technology
- Adobe Photoshop software. Don’t have Adobe Photoshop? No worries, you can download a free 7-day trial to utilize for part of the class. (Cannot access full program with Chromebook)
